This Hafiz line reminds me of the many people on my mission trip who can easily quote scripture, not because they have to, but because they find genuine comfort in those verses. This has inspired me to compile a list of my own favorite bible verses, which are below. I am also setting a personal goal to read Philippians and 1 Peter.
Rom 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Rom 12:2: Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Phil 4:8: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Josh 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
1 Cor 10:13: No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Corinthians 13:13: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Peter 4:8: Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
